Day 1 : UK to Paris

Travel to Paris by Eurostar. You will have a private transfer to your first hotel. In the afternoon, discover the craftspeople of the Marais on a three hour guided tour. Away from the hustle and bustle of the large retailers and avenues, you will meet a few individuals and be able to learn more about their trades. Your guide will also talk you through the historical marks left by the artisans on this district.

Day 2 : Paris to Lyon

You will have a private transfer to the railway station for your first class journey to Lyon. You will have a private transfer on arrival, before enjoying a four-hour private city tour of Lyon.

Day 3 : Lyon

Located to the north-west of Lyon, the Beaujolais is renowned for its wines. Today you can discover Lyon’s magnificent countryside visiting Oingt and Perouges, listed among the most beautiful towns in France, and tasting award winning Beaujolais wines at a small family winery.

Day 4 : Lyon to Avignon

This morning, you will take the train to Avignon. In the afternoon, enjoy a three-hour private tour of the city – from the Avignon’s Bridge to the Palace of the Popes you are sure to learn something new. You could also visit the Issart’s mansion, a private former orangery, by prior arrangement.

Day 5 : Avignon

Today you can explore the incredible Provence with your private driver. Discover Les Baux de Provence, a real symbol of Provencal villages with small squares, narrow streets and local shops. You can also visit the Carrieres de Lumieres. After lunch visit Maussane les Alpilles, located at the bottom of the Alpilles.

Day 6 : Avignon

This morning, visit Menerbes, a Provencal village, with your private driver. You will be welcomed by a local expert before attending a truffle hunting presentation with a dog. Learn the art of picking truffles and hear more about the product before visiting the museum and the wine bar. Have lunch in a neighbouring restaurant including a five wine tasting session in accordance with the local specialities of the chef. In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to visit an olive oil mill and learn more about the ancestral practices and skills of the area.

Day 7 : Avignon to Paris to UK

You will have a private transfer to the railway station, before travelling first class back to Paris and taking the Eurostar back to the UK.
