This is a leisurely itinerary enabling you to explore the capital city, before spending a few days by the coast and visiting UNESCO World Heritage Site, Sintra, which is known for its many 19th century architectural monuments.

Day 1 : UK to Lisbon

Fly from the UK to Lisbon. You will be transferred by private car to your hotel.

Day 2 : Lisbon

Explore the oldest part of the town, next to Lisbon’s Castle, where you can still find very well preserved Roman and Moorish vestiges. Here you can also find the best viewpoints of the city, near the Cathedral. Then head downtown and visit the Belem neighbourhood.

Day 3 : Lisbon to Estoril

Today, discover the Lisbon coast, stopping first in Cascais, a delightful Portuguese fishing village, located close to some of the finest beaches of the region. Next, you will go to the enchanted town of Sintra, known for its many Royal palaces as it was a summer retreat for the Portuguese kings from the 13th century onwards. To end the day, you will visit a very small wine producer of the Colares region, where you can taste some of the best wines in the locality. Then you will be taken to your hotel in Estoril.

Day 4 : Estoril

A day at leisure to relax and enjoy your surroundings.

Day 5 : Estoril

Visit the beautiful town of Obidos, built within the castle walls; a maze of streets and white houses that are a delight to stroll amongst. Before continuing your journey, you can taste the famous ginginha – traditional cherry liquor produced in the region and served in a chocolate cup. Your next stop will be Nazare, a typical fishing village known for its old traditions and huge waves! Lastly, you will pass by Alcobaca Monastery, one of the most complex medieval structures in Europe, dating back to the 12th century.

Day 6 : Estoril to Lisbon to UK

You will be taken by private car to the airport for your flight home to the UK.
