Portugal Fatima

Capture true Portuguese living by staying in one of these family owned Manor Houses or Quintas which have been specially selected for their character and ambience.  You will enjoy old-fashioned hospitality in lovely surroundings. However, staying in a Manor House is not quite the same as in a hotel. Mealtimes are sometimes less flexible and often restricted to breakfast. You may not be able to order a drink in the daytime and credit cards are seldom accepted.  The Simpler Hotels featured are Estalagems and Albergarias in regions of the country often missed by tourists. You can be assured of a friendly welcome and the owner is invariably on hand to advise and offer suggestions for visiting local places of interest.

Quinta da Alcaidaria-Mor

This beautiful and very well furnished house dates back to the 17th century and is set in the rolling countryside seven miles from Fatima. This is a very historic part of Portugal. The house has been completely restored but retains its original character. A tiny chapel in the grounds is more than 600 years old. Swimming pool. Dinner on request.
