This delightful hotel dates back to 1921. It was one of the first on the island and attracted a diversity of guests ranging from seafarers and artists to intellectuals who would gather socially and talk often until daybreak. Painstaking renovations in recent years have restored the former splendour of the hotel. The exotic Oriental façade has been designated a National Monument.

There is a distinctly Colonial feel to the interior with its stately white columns and potted palms. Air-conditioned throughout. Comfortable lounges with bar service.
