In December 2007 this luxury hotel, set in the heart of the wine capital opposite the grand theatre, opened its doors after 17 years of closure and a total renovation. The hotel enjoys a fascinating history and Victor Hugo, author of Les Misérables and Notre-Dame de Paris, gave his first political speech here, in favour of a united Europe, in 1871.
